WAMS Career Club 2010 Welcome to the WAMS Career Club!The goal of our after school program was to actively involve students with individualized education plans and develop their interpersonal, educational, and physical skills while working with teachers and peers. The program had two parts: One was to guide students through activities that would focus around career awareness, etiquette, responsibility, work ethics, and job readiness skills necessary for successful employment in the future. The second was to strengthen the students mathematics and reading skills needed to succeed. Students participated in “outings” to local businesses to learn about job skills needed in the area and to better understand what employers are looking for during an interview. The following presentation is an overview of the students experience that they would like to share.
